Well I copied the picture and burned in the sky as Pat suggested and tried some different contrasts, but I didn't think it improved the picture enough to post the changes. I think you may have gotten...

Thanks to both of you for trying to work with this picture. It was a spur of the moment shoot without thinking shot. The battery on my good camera died so that doesn't help the quality either.

The content of the photo outweighs the technical stuff. A charming photo. Not too much you can do to it.

Yes the increased contrast DOES improve what is an excellent shot. I am not sure that I know what 'burning in the highlights' means. let alone how to do it!
